If you either cannot or just plain prefer not to cut/drill rectangular/circular holes into already existing walls and/or ceiling to install conventional in-wall/ceiling speakers, AND you also want to avoid tall floor standing tower speakers and/or bookshelf/satellite speakers atop stands (perhaps you've got little ones and/or pets), you should definitely consider going with a completely on-wall mounted surround sound speaker system. |
Buy and install UL listed CL-3 rated in-wall speaker wire if you plan on running any wiring inside or through the walls, floors, and ceilings.
Another option is flat speaker wire -- it's thin enough to be run underneath carpeting, along baseboards, and/or taped along the walls and/or ceilings and painted over when painting your room. |
